摘要
No metal causes frustration: Based on a conceptual framework, novel frustrated Lewis acid-base catalyst systems with orthogonal reactivity have been developed. Aside from enhanced functional-group tolerance, unique chemoselectivity can be achieved in catalytic metal-free hydrogenations (see scheme). © 2010 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
