摘要
This short note is mainly a report on the recent findings on the connection between heterotic string theory, twisters and the g((infinity)) Cantorian theory of space-time. The main results are that D = 26 is only an approximation to the theoretically exact Hausdorff dimension of the transfinite version of the heterotic string theory for which we have D(-) = 26.18033989 for the Bosonic field and D(+) =D(-) - 16.18033989 = 10 for the Fermionic field. These values were found to be consistent with an electromagnetic fine structure constant given by <(<alpha>)over bar>(0) = (D)((-))(5 + phi (3))= 137.0820393. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
