Terahertz sideband generation and coherent control in semiconductor microcavities

摘要
We model the optical properties near an exciton resonance in a semiconductor microcavity where the exciton energy and linewidth are modulated by a THz field. We expect strong enhancements of THz sidebands on optical spectra. We also discuss how ultrafast pulsed THz radiation may be used coherently to control normal-mode oscillations in microcavities.
