摘要：

The reaction of 3-cyanoaniline and naphthalic anhydride in refluxing dimethylformamide yielded the title compound. In the crystal, the naphthalimide and benzonitrile ring planes are inclined at 69.36(16)degrees. The molecules pack in columnar stacks parallel to the c axis.
