摘要
We use the magneto-optical Kerr measurement at room temperature to demonstrate an electric-field controlled switching of the local magnetization vector in a very simple multiferroic bilayer made up of an amorphous FeBSiC magnetic layer bonded on a Pb(Zr,Ti)O-3 slab. By applying an electric field on this simple bilayer structure, the magnetic hysteresis loops significantly change via magnetoelectric coupling between the two layers. An electric field larger than the ferroelectric coercive field of Pb(Zr,Ti)O-3 can rotate the magnetization direction away from the in-plane. These results would inspire further exploration of electric-field-controlled magnetization switching in heterogeneous multiferroic systems.
