Photocatalytic Oxidation of Benzyl Alcohols in the Presence of H14[NaP5W30O110] as a Green and Reusable Catalyst

摘要
Preyssler acid as bulk form, H14[NaP5W30O110] and silica-supported with different loadings used as green, eco-friendly and recyclable photocatalysts for catalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohols to the corresponding aldehyds under O2 and H2O2. High selectivity and moderate to excellent yields were obtained. Silica-supported Preyssler were less active than the bulk form under the same conditions. Our findings showed that the catalyst concentration, time, loading percentage, and amount of the catalyst are important factors.
