Modifications make a difference: An isotope-based mass spectrometry method allows the facile and quantitative analysis of modified tRNA nucleosides in various types of cells. This method could be capable of distinguishing between individual cell lines as well as between healthy tissue and cancer cells. © 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
