One hundred seven vascular territories with implanted coronary stents in native coronary arteries were evaluated prospectively by single-photon emission tomography (SPECT) technetium-99m (Tc-99m)-tetrofosmin scintigraphy from 3 to 6 months after a stenting procedure. Exercise Tc-99m-tetrofosmin SPECT imaging can accurately identify significant restenosis in patients during the early phase after coronary stent implantation, more than angina and electrocardiographic changes during exercise testing.
