An easy way to produce α-iron filled multiwalled carbon nanotubes

摘要
alpha-Iron filled multiwalled carbon nanotubes were prepared through filling of commercially available carbon nanotubes, after oxidative opening, with ferrofluid particles. After washing and reduction with hydrogen clean tubes filled with alpha-iron were obtained. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
