Activity of molybdena-alumina metathesis catalysts treated with tetramethyltin

摘要
The MoO3/Al2O3 catalytic systems treated with SnMe4 were studied. Addition of tetramethyltin enhanced about 20 times the activity of the catalyst in propene metathesis (T = 303 K). The optimal Sn:Mo molar ratio was about 1:20. Increase of the activation temperature caused decrease of the catalyst activity.
