Nonlinear radial correlation of electrostatic fluctuations in the STOR-M tokamak

摘要
A practical algorithm to calculate the nonlinear correlation is developed. This algorithm permits the determination of not only the correlation strength but also the correlation direction. Application of the algorithm to data obtained in the edge plasma in the STOR-M tokamak with Langmuir probes indicates that the direction of fluctuation correlation reverses after L-H transition and that the nonlinear correlation length is 4 times as long as the linear correlation length.
