摘要
The data reported here by Dewey et al. highlight the fact that host-pathogen interactions can be highly complex. The emerging molecular models are getting ever more complex and largely exclude the third component of 'the environment'. This work demonstrates that 'the environment' should include other host-microorganism interactions too, some of which may themselves induce recognition responses.
