Poly(aryleneethynylene)s: Syntheses, properties, structures, and applications

摘要
Conjugated polymers are organic semiconductors that are important materials for application in electronic and photonic devices. The class of conjugated polymers which has found the most attention in the past are undoubtedly the poly(p-phenylenevinylene)s which made big in the field of organic polymeric light emitting diodes. Only recently poly(phenylene-ethynylene)s (PPE) have demonstrated that their unique property profile are fantastic material in areas such as explosive detection, molecular wires in bridging nanogaps, and polarizers for liquid crystal displays. The synthesis, properties, structures, morphologies, and applications of types poly(aryleneethynylene)s are reviewed.
