摘要
A dextran-coated, magnetite-based magnetic fluid sample (DexMF) was tested through morphological analysis of mice organs. Clusters of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were observed in liver and spleen tissues from I h up to 6 months after DexMF administration. In spite of long-term retention of MNPs, no morphological alterations, including damaged cells, were observed in the analyzed organs. The data suggest that DexMF sample is biocompatible and adequate for further biomedical tests. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
