Self-assembled stable silver nanoclusters and nanonecklace formation: Poly(methylhydrosiloxane)-mediated one-pot route to organosols

摘要
Polyhydrosiloxane-induced generation and stabilization of functionalizable monodisperse silver sols were analyzed. The method enabled the routine formation of stable nanosilver reservoirs and avoid the aggregation during the storage, growth and nucleation process. The reservoirs were found useful in grafting the surface properties of nanosized silver particles by exchange reactions with trioctylamine. It was concluded that surface tailoring reactions opened new possibilities in the field of surfactant exchange reactions.
