摘要
A modified algorithm for the conventional UVE-PLS method is proposed. The conventional method is superior to other related methods in that uninformative variables are eliminated directly by making a comparison with noise variables artificially introduced. The method had two problems in practical situations: the overfitting problem introduced by the relatively large number of LVs and the resultant long calculation time. These two problems are solved by introducing the PRESS criterion and by removing the iteration step.
