The effect of an anionic starburst dendrimer on the crystallization of BaWO4 under hydrothernial reaction conditions

摘要：

The crystallization of BaWO4 in the presence of poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimers, which are generation G (0.5-5.5) with surface carboxylate groups, resulted in the formation of crystals with a different morphology through a hydrothermal process. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) shows that the crystals have been well crystallized. The observation results of scanning electron microscopy on the obtained samples reveal that the selection of the generation number and the concentration of the PAMAM dendrimers with carboxylate groups at the external surfaces can highly affect the morphology and size of BaWO4 crystals.
