摘要：

Childbearing contributes to the long-term development of obesity in women. High prepregnancy weight, excessive pregnancy weight gain, and postpartum weight retention increase the risk for obesity in women. Maternal obesity contributes to maternal and infant morbidity and mortality. Educating women about appropriate pregnancy weight gain parameters and weight loss postpartum may improve the obesity rise in women of childbearing age.
