Sol-gel fabrication of samarium and manganese modified lead titanate thin films and ceramics

摘要
Samarium and manganese modified lead titanate thin films were deposited on Pt coated Si (100) substrates by spin coating using a precursor solution prepared from Pb, Sm and Mn acetates and Ti-isopropoxide with acetic acid and n-propanol as solvents. The gel powder on hear treatment showed (101) as the highest intensity peak while the thin films deposited on Pt coated silicon substrates showed a preferential orientation of (100). These films after being annealed at 900 degrees C for 1 h showed good remanent polarization and coercive fields.
