摘要：

Anterior knee pain (AKP) is a common complaint in the primary care and orthopedic clinics. The patient's history and clinical presentation provide initial clues to the cause. Imaging plays an important role in evaluation, not only in searching for malalignment, but for other sources of pain as well. The differential for AKP is broad. The major differential and diagnostic considerations are discussed within this review article.
