摘要
Several anaerobic bacteria are able to reductively dehalogenate chlorinated hydrocarbons and to couple this reaction to the synthesis of AIP via a chemiosmotic mechanism (dehalorespiration). A few reductive dehalogenases have recently been purified and characterized. Preliminary investigations have been performed to elucidate the mechanism of dehalorespiration. (C) Current Biology Ltd.
