摘要
Inflammatory mechanisms are active in the Alzheimer's disease (AD) brain. Studies that range from epidemiological surveys to therapeutic trials in transgenic mice provide growing support for the theory that anti inflammatory drugs may be useful in the prevention and/or treatment of the disease. Randomized controlled trials in humans have not yet confirmed this theory. However, prevention and treatment trials continue to test specific anti inflammatory strategies for AD.
