摘要
This study examined the interface between anticipated support, received support, recent economic stressors, and depressive symptoms in Inter life. A theoretical perspective was developed suggesting that received support exacerbates the effects of financial stress on depressive symptoms. However, this conceptual framework further specified that the noxious effects of economic stress are buffered or offset by anticipated support. Data from a nationwide survey of elderly people provided empirical support for both hypotheses.
