HPLC method for determination of cefuroxime in plasma

摘要
This paper describes an HPLC method for the determination of cefuroxime in human plasma. The method uses solid phase extraction (SPE) and has acceptable sensitivity, precision and accuracy. The limit of quantification in plasma samples is 0.1 mu g mL(-1). Calibration curves were linear within 0.1-20 mu g mL(-1), with mean correlation coefficient of 0.9982. Mean inter day precision and accuracy were 7.8 % and 6.4 %, respectively. The method was applied to determine cefuroxime levels in patients receiving cefuroxime, 3 time per day.
