Localization length in deformed metallic carbon nanotubes

摘要
Based upon the metallic band model, and including the disorder perturbation, we have studied the band structure and localization length xi of deformed carbon nanotubes. It is found that the xi becomes shorter, for deformed. tubes. Also, the xi of deformed armchair tubes decreases faster than that of deformed metallic zigzag tubes. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
