Organo lanthanide metal complexes for electroluminescent materials

摘要
Recently, considerable progress was achieved with OLEDs by utilizing lanthanide metal ions such as Eu and Tb as the emitting layer. However, the quantum efficiency of most of these lanthanide complexes was unfortunately still low. Thus, in order to obtain effective and useful OLEDs using lanthanide-based compounds, ligands which have better energy transfer property to the lanthanide metal ion must be further designed. Furthermore, the host materials should have effective energy transfer to the lanthanide complexes.
