Ni3AlB: A bridge between superconductivity and ferromagnetism

摘要
The electronic energy band structures of anti-perovskite-type intermetallic compound Ni3AlB have been calculated within the local-density approximation Ferromagnetism does not appear even though the lattice is more expanded than nondoped Ni3Al. We found that the Fermi surfaces of Ni3AlB resemble those of MgCNi3, which is known to be a superconductor with T-c=8 K, and a good candidate of unconventional superconductor.
