Ferroelectric Curie temperature of BaTiO3 single crystals grown by a flux method

摘要
We have succeeded in controlling concentration of K ions in the BaTiO3 single crystals by changing the solvent such as KF+BaCO3 or KF+TiO2 . The concentration of the cationic ions in the crystals has been chemically analyzed by EPMA; the K ions in the crystals, BayKxTiO3 , change continuously from x=0.01 (y=1.01) to 0.03 (y=0.99), and the Curie temperature T-c decreases from 397K to 375K with x. The dielectric properties around T-c depend on the amount of K-ions. By annealing the crystal at 1000degreesC in air, the dielectric properties change remarkably on the K-rich crystals.
