Structural and magnetic properties of FePt-Ag composite film with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy

摘要
Multilayer films of (FePt 2 nm/Ag 5 nm) X 10 are synthesized on MgO (100) substrate using laser ablation. The layered structure of the multilayers thus fabricated is preserved even after annealing at 600 degreesC for 15 min. The annealed multilayer films exhibit high perpendicular magnetic anisotropy composed of the L1(0) phase. A Barkhausen volume V-B is found to be as small as 10(-19) cm(3).
