摘要
Alkali and alkaline complex metal hydrides appear to share the first step in their solid-state thermally activated decomposition mechanisms. This step is proposed to be the initial thermally activated non-equilibrium production of a binary alkali or alkaline hydride and a group IIIb metal hydride. The application of this initial thermochemical decomposition step to the data for several metal alanate compounds illustrates the potential generality of this approach. For LiAlH4, the decomposition data fall on the derived distribution plot calculated for NaAlH4. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
