摘要
Plasmon-polariton transport in noble-metal nanoparticle chains embedded in an optical-gain medium are considered theoretically. We show that short-wavelength modes can acquire gain to counter loss. (c) 2006 WILEYNCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
