Carbon-titania composite substrates for fuel cell catalyst applications

摘要
We report a sol-gel route to synthesize optimized carbon-titania composite substrates, which have more than twice the surface area, nearly three times higher corrosion resistance and improved hydrogen adsorption-desorption area retention compared to the commercial Vulcan XC-72 carbon substrates.
