This review surveys the main structural aspects of the coordination chemistry of mono-, di- and triorganothallium(III) and mono- and diorganomercury(II) complexes. It covers all organothallium(III) derivatives reported up to the end of 1997 and the organomercury compounds reported between 1993 and 1997.
