(Figure Presented) Self-sacrifice: Poly(acrylic acid) was used to tune the diameter of 1D nanowires prepared from linear Cd2+/thioglycolic acid coordination polymer chains. The nanowires were then employed as sacrificial templates for preparing long CdTe nanotubes of different diameters (see the TEM images). © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
