A genetically encoded β-hairpin peptide molecular beacon. By exploiting FRET between genetically fused fluorescent protein variants, we have determined the relative stability of a series of β-hairpins both in vivo and in vitro. © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
