The title copolymerization catalyzed by BnCOCo(CO)4 affords poly-β-alanoids in excellent yields and selectivity. The poly-β-alanoids have narrow molecular weight distributions, controllable molecular weights, and definite end groups. Copyright © 2002 American Chemical Society.
