摘要
The possible role of ion beam techniques in the study of proteins is discussed with special emphasis on particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE) spectrometry. Instead of routine bulk analysis of protein containing samples, where several competing analytical techniques are available, the full strength of PIXE can be exploited in special applications where the direct ion beam technique is combined with proper biochemical separation techniques.
