摘要
Single crystals of a series of double perovskite oxides Ln(2)NaIrO(6) (Ln = La, Pr, Nd) have been synthesized in acidic molten NaOH fluxes. They crystallize in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n, forming a distorted 1: 1 ordered rock salt lattice of the Na+ and Ir5+ cations. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show paramagnetic behavior, with no evidence of magnetic order down to 2 K. (C) 2004 Elsevier SAS. All rights reserved.
