摘要
The characteristics of a segmented clover germanium detector have been studied using a fusion-evaporation reaction (Al-27 + Si-28) at 100 MeV bombarding energy at three different distances (11, 15 and 22 cm) from the target. The gamma transitions, which have been used for these studies, are emitted by the nuclei Cr-51 and Ti-46 populated at medium spin states by the Al-27(Si-28, 3pn) and Al-27(Si-28, 2 alpha pn) channels, respectively. The analyses have been performed, firstly by considering this detector as "classical" (without segmentation) and, secondly by using the information of hit segments. The comparison gives a measurement of the segmentation effect on the resolution in energy which can be achieved in such a type of fusion-evaporation reactions. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
