摘要
The CCN family of genes and proteins is composed of key regulators involved in the control of cell growth in normal and pathological conditions. The CCN proteins are controling cell adhesion, motility and proliferation. In pathological conditions, such cis cancer development, the balance of negative and positive signals induced by these regulators is altered. In this review article we analyse the multimodular organization of the CCN proteins and discuss features that provide a structural basis for their multiple biological activities.
