摘要
Enantioselectivity with regards to the sense of smell is reviewed. The review is intended for a more general chemical/biochemical audience and emphasizes chemistry and stereochemistry with a narrow focus on human nose. Topics discussed include the proof for enantioselectivity in odor, enantioselectivity and odor intensity, compounds with more than one chiral center, nitrogen compounds, sulfur compounds, the perception of enantiomers and several practical applications.
