摘要
We describe here sequencing and analysis of expressed sequence tags (ESTs) generated from burma mangrove, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza. A total of 26,400 cDNA were partially sequenced from five different cDNA libraries constructed from the leaves and roots. These sequences were processed into 14,842 high-quality sequences. Clustering and assembling of these sequences resulted in 6943 unique genes. Blast searches show that 4339 (62.5%) genes had a similarity with known proteins in UniProt database. Of these, 2074 genes are assigned in at least one Gene Ontology terms. Expression profiles are generated based on EST frequency in each cDNA library. The profile suggested co-expression and organ specific gene regulations. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
