Spontaneous formation of gold nanoparticles in aqueous solution of sugar-persubstituted poly(amidoamine) dendrimers

摘要
In this study, Au particles were prepared in an aqueous sugar ball solution without the addition of any reductant. The role of the sugar balls for the gold particles in preparation was determined. It was found that Au3+ ions can be reduced by the hydroxyl groups of the sugar balls, resulting in the formation of gold nanoparticles which are very stable. In addition, the particle sizes of gold obtained were found to be affected by the concentration and generation of the sugar balls.
