摘要
Macroporosity for heterogeneous solid could be measured by different techniques. The authors propose a new approach using the relation between fractal dimension and porosity of the heterogeneous medium. The equivalence between the fractal dimension of the object and the fractal dimension of a cartesian product of slices of the object is demonstrated in order to use a two-dimensional or a one-dimensional slice of the object. Then, a relation between the porosity and the fractal dimension is demonstrated. The validation of the method is proved on deterministic sets and then on random object. The fractal dimension is estimated for all objects using a computerized box-counting method.
