摘要
Cerabone(R) is a hydroxy apatite ceramic based on pentacalcium-hydroxy- [tri] phosphate. The aquirement of the implant takes place by preparing bovine bones, which are transformed in their ceramic forms by using high temperature processes. Due to the spongy raw material the implant Cerabone(R) has a natural interconnecting macro- and micropore system. Within a cancellar structure the trabeculae form an osteoconductive guide for the new bone. Based on the production processes the natural constitution of the spongiosa is preserved, which affects positively the mechanical properties and bone ingrowth.
