摘要
NMR remains one of the few comprehensive sources for information on unstructured and partly structured proteins and on the protein folding process. A review is given of NMR methods that are particularly applicable to the study of unfolded and partly folded proteins, and the types of information that can be obtained. Examples of protein systems in which NMR has been instrumental in the elucidation of folding pathways and mechanisms are considered. Furthermore, a few examples are provided of NMR studies of functional unfolded proteins.
