Assessment of the mechanical behaviour of SiC fibre reinforced magnesium lithium aluminosilicate glass-ceramic matrix composite tested under uniaxial tensile loading

摘要
The mechanical behaviour under quasi-static uniaxial tensile loading of SiC-MAS.L glass-ceramic composite material is investigated. The accumulation of damage in unidirectional specimens is characterized by the total number of transverse matrix cracks, N, and the reduction in the longitudinal Young's modulus, E. The micromechanical parameters governing the matrix microcracking mechanism are calculated. (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Limited.
