Spatially anisotropic spin fluctuations and the non-Fermi liquid properties around the antiferromagnetic instability

摘要
In order to improve analyses of anomalous or non-Fermi liquid properties of certain heavy electron systems the self-consistent renormalization theory of spin fluctuations is extended to include spatial anisotropy of systems, introducing an anisotropy parameter (0 less than or equal to r(z) less than or equal to 1) to interpolate between 2 and 3 dimensions. Physical properties in quantum critical regime and at higher temperatures are shown to be interpolated smoothly between 2 and 3 dimensions. In particular, the temperature range of T ln T-dependence of the specific heat expands with increasing spatial anisotropy (r(z) --> 0). A few example analyses of experimental results are given.
