摘要
Magnesium niobate, Mg4Nb2O9, which is a room temperature photoluminescent material and a precursor for the synthesis of relaxer lead magnesium niobate, is prepared at a very low temperature of 550 degrees C by a precipitation method, compared to the conventional ceramic method of synthesis at 1300 degrees C. The compound is characterized by powder X-ray studies.
