摘要：

Synthesis and characterization beta-substituted 5,10,15,20-tetraphenyl-21,23-dithiaporphyrins are reported. The absorption and emission spectra exhibited large bathochromic shifts due to nonplanarity of porphyrin ring which is induced on beta-substitution.
